    2012 Mariners Left Field Sitch

Insider Steve wrote a piece today on the M's left field sitch.

The moves Jack Zduriencik makes can either sink us, or makes into a winner.

They return Casper Wells, Trayvon Robinson, Michael Saunders, and Mike Carp, all of whom are after the starting job in 2012.

The Mariners will finally have an off-season in which they will have the money to spend for player personnel. The question is “how much”?
What do you think of possible trades for...

    1. Nolan Reimold
    2. Alex Gordon
    3. Jay Bruce
    4. Logan Morrison

OR are Wells, Robinson, Saunders, OR Carp the answer in left field? Hit me back I want to hear from you.

I think Carp will end up being there. If he can stay steady, it would be beneficial to keep him. Young talent is best, especially when you farmed em

Carp is likely to split time between left field, first base and DH depending on what the Mariners do during the off season. He will be on the 25 man roster for sure. I'm not sure what else the M's can do with Saunders. The scouts are proving to be good at finding his weaknesses and he hasn't be able to adapt. Wells and Robinson have potential. Wells is a much needed right handed bat and Robinson a switch hitter with pop. I think they will try to solve the left field problem internally and go for a trade or free agentcy to bring a veteran into the farm team to mentor some of these younger guys.
