Christian Carmichael Suspended 50 games for Positive PED test
Seattle Mariners MLB Blogger Greg Johns is reporting on twitter (@GregJohnsMLB) that Minor League catcher Christian Carmichael, 19, has been suspended 50-game for positive PED test.
Mariners.com reports the suspension of Carmichael, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Clinton LumberKings, will be effective at the start of this season.
Not the best news in the world. But not the end of the world either.
Mariners pitchers andcatchers report in five days!
It was also announced today that the M's have signed via MLB Free agency two more arms for the bullpen.
Shawn Camp (formerly with the Blue Jays) and Sign Hong-Chih Kuo a former All-star with the LA Dodgers.
MLB Trade rumors said of Kuo "Kuo had been one of the game's most dominant relievers over the three prior seasons when healthy."
The M's designated catcher Chris Gimenez and outfielder Mike Wilson to open spots on the 40-man roster for the new relievers.

This is so weird. I'm willing to bet if we go back and look at PED/Steroid suspensions in the last 5 or 6 years, Mariners would top the list of people who've been suspended. I don't get it. Each Mariner named has NOT benefited from them, besides Brett Boone to an extent
