I hear ya on that one. But I just don't if he's going to want to play in Seattle. His offseason home is in Orlando.
Yup...little bit of travel involved there. My $ says he goes to Texas

Wishfull thinking is all. Besides, no big name free agents have ever prospered since the move to Safeco anyways. And I don't think moving the walls in would help our pitching, which is our only strong point. We should use the money saved to try and repeat the magic of '01 after Rodriguez left. Once again, wishfull thinking.
Another hitter the Mariners missed out on sitting on their hands.
I wouldn't say they sat on there hands. I would say Scott Boras high balled a lot of people especially the Tigers into signing him. Baseball is a fan's game. You fill up the stadium and the team has more money to work with. Mariner's fans aren't the most loyal in the game...
I agree about the fans, but with the Mariners waiting to do anything this offseason, they missed out on decent hitting, veteran platoon players who could have brought some more power to the lineup. Cuddyer, Jason Kubel, Carlos Pena, hell even Carlos Beltran.
I am excited for Jesus Montero.
I'm a lifelong faithful despite wanting to pull my hair out the last 10 seasons and then again before we were perennial playoff contenders for those few seasons.
