Left-handed hitting catcher John Jaso was acquired by the Mariners in a trade Sunday with Tampa Bay for reliever Josh Lueuke.

M's fans rejoice. We have a guy who can possibly replace Miquel Olivo.

Jaso, 28, has hit .245 with 10 home runs and 71 RBIs in 595 at-bats over three seasons with the Rays.

Josh Lueke, 26, was acquired from the Rangers in the Cliff Lee deal in July of 2010. He appeared in 25 games as a rookie last season, going 1-1 with a 6.06 ERA in 32 2/3 innings.
