He needed to be helped off the field.

Montero was knocked backward when Robert Andino's foul ball in the fifth hit him square in the mask just above the opening.

Montero was down on one knee for several minutes and was really looking out of it.

Skipper Eric Wedge decided to pull him out of the game.

He was helped off the field with a trainer holding his arm.

Montero was replaced by Miguel Olivo. He couldn't take the other catcher John Jaso out of the DH role.

Seattle may be forced to use the disabled list for the 2nd time in its 10-game homestand.
