Delabar to AAA Tacoma Stephen Pryor to the big leagues

Manager Eric Wedge had been looking for a day to rest Ichiro, who came into the day with the most games played in the major leagues this year, 52.

Today Ichiro got his day off. And the Mariners scored 21 runs.

Kyle Seager, Jesus Montero, and Justin Smoak batted 3,4, and 5.

That Mariners reliever Stephen Pryor is on his way to the big leagues.

Steve Delabar earlier today was sent back down to AAA Tacoma.

Per Mariners.com Pryor, 22, has only allowed five hits with seven walks and 15 strikeouts in his 12 innings since being promoted to Tacoma.

He was 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA in Double-A Jackson with seven saves, allowing just two earned runs in 16 innings.
