This week in Tokyo Seattle Mariners left fielder Mike Carp was placed on the 15-day disabled list. Not a great way to start your season.
Carp suffered the injury diving for a double hit by Kurt Suzuki of the Oakland A's in game 1 of the MLB 2012 season's opening series in the Tokyo Dome.
Your probably wondering how this came to be since Carp stayed in through the entire 11-inning game, going 0-for-4 but making several running catches later in the game.
The M's have recalled Carlos Peguero from AAA Tacoma to replace Carp on the roster."He toughed it out"
Here's the video of the injury.

The 25-year-old Carp batted .276 with 12 homers and 46 RBIs last season.
