LaMarcus Aldridge added to 20-player pool for Olympics hoops team

Good news for RIP City faithful this week as the Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has been added to the 20-player pool for Olympic men's basketball consideration.

He will join the 18 others who have either played for the 2008 United States team or 2010 world championship squad.

NBA All-Stars Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Dwight Howard headline the "other 18"

We're hearing the "official" roster for the July 27-Aug. 12 Olympics in London England will be announced later this year.

Aldridge is averaging 22.8 points and 7.8 rebounds so far this year Trail Blazers.
