The New York Knicks secured a point guard today but I doubt if this is the move anyone wanted or even expected.

The Knicks have picked up Raymond Felton via sign-and-trade from the Portland Trail Blazers for Jared Jeffries and Dan Gadzuric, as first reported by Frank Isola of the NY Daily News.

The acquisition of Felton suggests the Knicks, who have already signed Jason Kidd, will not match the offer sheet point guard Jeremy Lin signed with Houston. The New York Post reported that the Knicks will not match the offer for Lin, although there are conflicting reports about the Knicks' intentions. Lin, a restricted free agent, signed a three-year, $25.1 million deal with Houston.

Felton signed a three-year deal worth about $10 million, according to Yahoo! Sports.com.

Felton, a restricted free agent, averaged 11.4 points and 6.5 assists for Portland this past season.
