What a week for Minnesota sports teams.

First their hockey team pull in two of the NHL's biggest UFA stars in Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, now their basketball team the Timberwolves have landed Brandon Roy and possibly Nicolas Batum both past players with the Portland Trailblazers.

Batum has averaged 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds over four seasons with Portland, part of the reason the Blazers see him as such a valuable piece moving forward.

IS the water bad in Oregon? What is going on?

We're hearing Batum does not want to return to the Trail Blazers ‘under any circumstances for a variety of reasons,’ according to an NBA source.

Suddenly the T-Wolves are relevant if this goes down. Brandon Roy, Batum, Rubio and Love.

Batum signed the 45m-50m offer sheet we're told.

Per ESPN

Batum's agent told The Associated Press on Thursday night that Batum is hoping the Portland Trail Blazers either do not match the offer or execute a sign-and-trade to get him to Minnesota.
The offer cannot be signed until the moratorium ends July 11.

"Nicolas said `I really respect the Blazers' organization, the Blazers' fans, we'll see, I just want to go somewhere I can be really happy."
Who knows how this ends up as we've heard the Blazers have told him that they will match any and all offers meaning he'd have to come back next season.

We'll know more soon.
