Jose Adolfo Valencia to have knee surgery
This week we learned the Portland Timbers and their new man Jose Adolfo Valencia won't see much of each other for a while.
The Colombian forward will have knee surgery to repair damaged cartilage in his left knee. It's not like they're missing much. He had not trained with the Timbers since Jan. 24.
GM Gavin Wilkinson said the surgery was scheduled for this week.
Valencia, 20, is expected to miss 6 to 12 months.
