Oregon Live is reporting the Portland Timbers have added another central defender to their roster by signing Colombian Hanyer Mosquera, the team announced this on Tuesday morning.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Mosquera played two seasons with La Equidad Seguros in Colombia's 1st division.
He appeared in 34 games (22 starts), scoring two goals in league play in 2011.
Just last week the Timbers grabbed UConn's Andrew Jean-Baptiste in the 2012 MLS Super draft.
I think the GM knows a thing or two about their weakness' heading into the 2012 MLS season don't you?
