We've heard via Oregon Live that Ryan Katz, former Oregon State Beavers quarterback, has reportedly transfered to San Diego State.

The North County Times and theSanta Monica Mirror broke the news.

Katz was the Beavers' 2010 starter, throwing for 2,401 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, before being replaced by freshman Sean Mannion early in the 2011 season. Mannion ended the season as a freshman All-American.

San Diego State is scheduled to open the 2012 season at Washington on Sept. 1.
