Beavs vs. Leathernecks Wednesday

Oregon State (19-14) begins its path to a second CBI national championship on Wednesday when the Western Illinois Fighting Leathernecks (18-14) visit Gill Coliseum at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the College Basketball Invitational.

Oregon State and Western Illinois meet for the second time in history with the Beavers holding a 1-0 advantage after winning, 91-71, on Dec. 17, 1982 at the River City Tournament at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Ill.

• This is Oregon State's third trip to the CBI in the five-year history of the tournament.
