Cliff Harris was suspended for the first game of the year. NO big deal, right? Wrong! Kenyon Barner returned punts in place of harris this game. Barner made a terrible decision to field a punt inside the 10 and fumbled right into the hands of an LSU defender, instant 7 points for LSU.

Terrance Mitchell started at corner as a true freshman at got burned on a 10 yard TD pass to Reuban Randle, a 6'4" receiver. Mitchell was undersized and over matched on this play and never had a chance. During last years title run, Cliff Harris was a vital part of this team and a huge playmaker in many games. His suspension played huge in this game when a lack of big plays from Oregon was apparent.
