Jordan Named to Fourth Preseason Watch List
University of Oregon senior Dion Jordan has been named to the watch list for the Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year award, it was announced Monday.
A 6-7, 241-pounder from Chandler, Ariz., Jordan is one of six Pac-12 players and 40 overall on the preseason list. He also enters his final college season on watch lists for the Bednarik Award (defense), Rotary Lombardi Award (lineman) and Bronko Nagurski Trophy (defense).
Jordan, who began his collegiate career as a receiver and tight end for the Ducks, earned first-team all-conference honors last season after rating fifth in the Pac-12 in quarterback sacks (7.5) and seventh in tackles for loss (13). He recorded all but 1.5 of his sack total over UO's final seven games in 2011.
