Ducks Earn No. 3 Seed in NIT, To Host No. 6 Seed LSU

The University of Oregon men’s basketball team has been selected to participate in the 2012 National Invitation Tournament it was announced Sunday night.

The Ducks earned a No. 3 seed and will host a first-round game against No. 6 LSU on Tuesday, March 13 at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene.

Oregon is one of four Pac-12 Conference schools in this season’s NIT field. Washington earned a No. 1 seed on the same side of the bracket as the Ducks.

Arizona received a No. 1 seed on the other side of the bracket from UO.

Stanford also earned a No. 3 seed.

Tip-time for that contest is set for 6:30 p.m. (PT).
