Biography:

My name is Riley Trottier and I was born in raised in Victoria, British Columbia, where I currently reside. I graduated from the University of Victoria in April 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History with a minor in Professional Writing. I love playing sports, watching sports, reading about sports, writing about sports and arguing about sports.

I follow all of the major North West Sports teams but am mostly a total diehard Canucks fan. I will (grudgingly) admit that during the early part of my teenage years I changed my alleigance to the Maple Leafs. This was not, as many may think, a temporary bout of insanity but in fact an attempt at teenage rebellion against my family who are all Canuck crazy. Although they considered disowning me and burning all the existing photos of me with the family, they helped me work through my teenage stupidity and I quickly came back around to cheering for the right team. We all do stupid things when we're young. Outside of hockey I am also a big NBA fan, and hope for the return of the NBA to Vancouver in the form of the New Orleans Hornet becoming the Vancouver Grizzlies.
