Early season success...

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have started out with their typical quick start, but now start facing some meat on the schedule with Illinois(loss), MichSt, Arizona, Butler and Xavier.

I've got to say: I haven't been all that impressed for a team ranked so high by many pre-season magazines and sites. I saw the Hawaii game live, and the others on the web. They're probably a tourney team if they can make it to the WCC finals, but they don't seem to have the horses at the moment to stand with the big boys. Sacre is a physical presence, but his low post offensive game stinks. He gets most of his points at the line (thankfully he can shoot).

Gary Bell looks like a stud, but that twisted knee at the end of the game looked pretty bad. Although he says its fine.

Hopefully we see a little bit more out of Sacre and Harris going forward and the Zaga can make a run at this thing!

I do see a few softies. But also some heavy lifting. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of December, the Zags were at 4 losses. At least. It would be nice to see Olynyk at some point...
