CARDINALS vs. RAMS (THURS Oct 4 8:20 PM ET)
Preview for tonights NFL Network game. (NFC West)
Both the Rams and Cardinals are coming off a win and St. Louis played good D in their 19-13 win over the Seahawks. While the Cardinals have yet to lose this season the Rams are still 2-0 at home.
The Cardinals beat the Dolphins in OT this last Sunday and while they had 2 INT and came up with a couple of big stops on defense, their offense is still pretty weak. They only rank 25th in the league in passing yards per game and 29th in rushing yards per game, but they are still winning.
Sam Bradford passed for over 200 yards in the Seattle win, but they struggled to run the ball. However, their D held the Seahawks to 2/9 on 3rd down conversions and they came up with 3 INT.
Arizona QB Kevin Kolb passed for 324 yards with 3 TD and 2 INT in the Miami win, but, like the Rams, they could not get anything going in the ground game. Since both teams have major issues running the ball the keys to this NFC West match up will be QB play and defense. The Cardinals had 2 INT last week, but they still allowed the Dolphins to gaining 431 passing yards.
Beanie Wells is still out with an injury and Ryan Williams will man the backfield, but he is only averaging 3 yards per carry this season.
This is a hard one to call and with the stats of the Cardinals I cannot believe they are undefeated. That will change after this game, as I think Bradford will have a good game and the Rams will hand Arizona their first loss of the season.
