49ERS vs. JETS (Sun Sept 30 1 PM ET)

The 49ers are coming off a loss to the Vikings and now they face a Jets’ team that is 2-1, but lost defensive leader CB Darrellle Revis in their last game. The Jets did win their last game, but it went to OT and was against the weak Dolphins.

Frank Gore and the rushing offense of San Fran struggled against the Vikes, but this Sunday they face a Jets’ run defense that only ranks 28th in the league.

Alex Smith has the weapons and he will likely find some with Revis out and a patchwork New York pass defense.

The 49ers run defense allowed the Vikings to rush for nearly 150 yards. That is unlikely in this game, as star defensive stud Patrick Willis will play and the Jets’ RB Shonn Greene is averaging only 2.8 yards per carry.

The 49ers will get back to playing good D and Gore and company will tear up the New York defense and San Francisco will get back in the W column with a win in the Big Apple.
