BC Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian has signed a contract with the Minnesota Vikings, according to his agent who announced the news on Twitter Wednesday.

"CFL LB Solomon Elimimian signed today with the Minnesota Vikings. Congrats Solomon," read agent Bardia Ghahremani's Tweet.
According to reports, the 25-year-old Elimimian was also being pursued by the St. Louis Rams and Carolina Panthers.

The CFL's most outstanding rookie in 2010 joins another former Leo in receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux, who signed with the Vikings last summer.

Linebacker Kenny Onatolu is another CFL veteran who signed with the Vikings in December 2008.

Over two seasons with the Lions, the Nigeria native has recorded 175 tackles and added 13 more on special teams.

Elimimian also recorded nine sacks in that time.
