Travis Lulay signs extension with BC
Word out of BC Lions camp today is that the defending CFL champion has extended the contract of their CFL MVP Travis Lulay, the starting QB of course.
Per the Vancouver Sun.
Under his former contract, Lulay would become a free agent following the 2012 season and able to entertain thoughts of jumping to the NFL, if he so chooses.
Quote:
"The priority has been to get him under contract for 2012," Buono said. " A longer term deal . . . . it's a little more complicated than people think."
Rookie camp opens May 30 in Kamloops -- five days before the main training camp begins on June 3 -- and the Lions didn't want to wait and have Lulay's contract status become a distraction.
