Pac 12 releases their 2012 NCAA Football schedule

Pac 12 Football

Oregon did the conference proud on January 2nd winning the 2012 Rose Bowl over the Wisconsin Badgers. On Saturday September 1st they begin defense of their Pac 12 title versus visiting Arkansas St.

Other notes in the Pac 12 news release. All Pac-12 football games will be available to fans on a national clearance. Eliminating regional distribution. This means basically there will be 44 games on ESPN, FOX, and FX. An additional 34 games will be on the Pac 12 networks.

Pac-12 teams will play the same opponents in 2012 as they did in 2011, just at the opposite venue, as part of the 8 year scheduling rotation adopted by the conference last year.

The new Pac 12 schedule will have 8 Thursday and Friday dates. Including Stanford at Washington on Sept. 27, USC at Utah on October 4, Arizona State at Colorado on Oct. 11 and Oregon at Arizona State on Oct. 18.

The Pac 12 Championship Game will be played Friday, November 30th at the site of the division winner with the best record.
