The Canada West Universities Athletic Association has partnered with Stretch Internet to launch Canadawest.tv, offering live and on-demand web-based sports streaming of 14 Western Canadian Universities, including UVic. The streams are absolutely free and are available online or via mobile devices, including iPhones and iPod touches.
For Vikes fans, this means live streaming of all home men’s and women’s soccer games, as well as coverage of women’s field hockey, regular season women’s rugby games, and complete coverage of men’s and women’s basketball all the way through to the 2012 Canada West Final Four.
Schedules for men’s rugby and field hockey, men’s and women’s swimming, cross country, track and golf will be available later in 2011.
