NWSB Editor and Chris Anderson talks about Chip Kelly’s decision to remain Head Coach of the Oregon Ducks. While rumors were rampant in the past few days about Kelly taking his talents to the NFL level (particularly to Cleveland or Philadelphia), the dust has settled and the man referred to as “Big Balls Chip” by the Oregon faithful will continue to build his historic college football legacy — much to the chagrin of other Pac-12 fans.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s big victory in the 2013 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl against the Kansas State Wildcats. While there were more than enough things that could have distracted the Ducks against Kansas State, they burst out to a quick lead and never looked back as they defeated the Wildcats by a score of 35-17 to win their second straight BCS bowl game.

Five keys to the Oregon Ducks winning the Fiesta Bowl

Kenjon Barner

NWSB Insider and Oregon Ducks blogger Bryant Knox breaks down the keys to beating the Kansas State Wildcats in the Jan. 3 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. The team must stick to the game plan. A big game from Kenjon Barner is a must, staying confident is crucial and winning the turnover margin is going to be important. Forcing Colin Klein to beat you with his arm is a big part of the strategy, and scoring a ton of points won’t hurt either.

Oregon Ducks to appear before NCAA infractions committee

Chip Kelly

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about the NCAA ruling that will call the Oregon Ducks to a hearing about their involvement with Willie Lyles. The ruling that Oregon must undergo a hearing in front of head NCAA officials means that this process will likely become a two-year affair that has left those Duck fans in Eugene and around the world feeling a little extra anxiety this holiday season.

Oregon State fan proves laughable at Civil War

Civil War

NWSB Editor and Insider documents the humorous video that has gone viral on Youtube of a Oregon State Beaver fan doing his best to mock the Oregon Ducks before the 2012 Civil War. While 2010 and 2011 were down years for the Beavers, all Civil Wars in recent memory have played a significant picture in either the Pac-10/12 or the National Championship race.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson recaps what was Oregon’s 2012 college football regular season. The Ducks made their way to an 11-1 record fairly easily. They vanquished most of their opponents by the third quarter and only had close contests against USC and Stanford, one of which they lost. Their offense did not skip a beat with Marcus Mariota at the helm and De’Anthony Thomas and Kenjon Barner in the backfield.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s dashed hopes of making a BCS National Championship after their loss to Stanford. Oregon had its chance to get back to a BCS National Championship and unfortunately saw their hopes slip away when the Stanford Cardinal came into Autzen Stadium and crushed every Duck fans’ dreams. The Ducks lost their game on a controversial call that ended up leading to a Cardinal win.

Why Chip Kelly should remain with Ducks, not bolt for NFL

Chip Kelly ASU

NWSB Insider and Oregon Ducks blogger Bryant Knox makes a claim for Chip Kelly to remain with the team beyond the 2012 college football season. If Kelly stays, he has a chance to continue his legacy long into the future, especially with Marcus Mariota and De’Anthony Thomas in the backfield. He still has “unfinished business” at Oregon, and if he goes, there’s no guarantee he’ll build the same reputation as a football mastermind in the NFL.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s victory over the Oregon State Beavers in the 116th Civil War. A close score at halftime combined with a Beaver touchdown to close up the score at 20-17 early in the third would quickly be quelled by the Ducks who scored 14 points in each of their last two quarters to hold reign over Reser.
