Absolutely nothing has gone right for Vancouver. Heck – Dustin Brown has matched Vancouver’s goal scoring output all by himself! The Canucks may get a huge boost in Game 4 though – Daniel Sedin skated with the team in Tuesday’s practice and could play!

The Canucks need not look far to see players who overcame 3-0 series deficits to eventually win a seven game series. Mike Richards and Jeff Carter managed that feat only a couple of years ago while playing with Philadelphia.

But a look at the struggling Vancouver players reveals that it will be an uphill climb for the Canucks on Wednesday.

Ryan Kesler hasn’t scored in 15 games, David Booth has one goal in 14 and Henrik Sedin has just one tally in 26 games – unreal! The power play is 0-14 so far in the series and Alex Edler has been brutal on defense as well.

That’s the bad. Now for the good. Along with the possible return of Daniel Sedin the Canucks can take solace in the fact that they have generated 100 shots against Jonathan Quick in the last two games scoring only twice during that span. Something has to give – doesn’t it?

Coach Alain Vigneault has yet to decide on a starting goaltender. Roberto Luongo was great in his two starts and Cory Schneiderwas equally good in his one start. The future of Vancouver`s goaltender could very well lie in who starts on Wednesday night – stay tuned – it should be interesting!

The Los Angeles Kings will be looking for their first series win since 2001.

Goaltending has been the story for the Kings and so has Dustin Brown, of course! Brown`s four goals have equalled Vancouver`s team output and his line mates Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams have combined for 11 points in the series.

But the offense has been unflattering – they have averaged just seven shots in the last five periods of play.

How about Jonathan Quick? Simply sensational he’s been on his way to stopping 111 of 115 shots directed his way so far – that is a .965 save percentage!

Although many of the shots have come from the outside, Quick has quickly made a name for himself and has officially arrived in the elite tier of NHL goalkeepers.

The Vancouver Canucks have done everything but win the last couple of games. If the Canucks scored just one power play goal and if they stopped the two shorthanded goals against, this series would look a whole lot different.

Once again, discipline is the key – seven penalties against certainly didn’t help on Sunday night.

Look for the professionalism and pride to resurface on Wednesday night as the Canucks take the series back to Vancouver for at least one more game.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks +108

Live with the prediction, die by the prediction. The Canucks need to get at least ONE tonight.

The win, and the break, and a home game should help the Canucks a lot in Game 5 but Game 6 doesn’t look so good…
