Canucks Cali Dreamin?
The Vancouver Canucks finally play the last game of a six game road trip on Friday night when they take on the struggling Ducks in Anaheim. Vancouver is 3-2-0 on the trip thus far and is coming off two very impressive wins over Chicago and Los Angeles.

The Ducks on the other hand have been awful as of late – a six game losing streak has them looking up at the rest of the teams in the Pacific Division.
Vancouver’s offense has come alive during the latter part of the road trip and the Special Teams have been truly special.
Vancouver has scored 10 goals in the last two games with “guess who” leading the way. Daniel Sedin has five points in the last two games and leads the team with 20. Henrik Sedin has two goals and six assists over his last six games.
The Canucks Power Play has been sizzling – 10-for-26 with the man advantage during their road trip. Vancouver has gone 12-for-32 on the power play and 24-for-26 on the penalty kill in its past six games.
Vancouver’s defense and goaltending has finally turned the corner. The defensive corp. has been playing its best hockey of the season and the goaltending tandem of Roberto Luongo and Schneider appear to have shaken their early season woes.
The Anaheim Ducks have looked awful as of late and their struggles center around their inability to score goals. With names like Ryan Getzlaf (who has just one point during the losing streak), Corey Perry, Bobby Ryan and Teemu Selanne in the mix, there is absolutely no excuse.
Anaheim has scored a Western Conference-low 29 goals this season and are one tally ahead of the New York Islanders for the fewest in the NHL – just 1.87 goals per game this season is not going to get it done! They are just 1-for-17 on the power play over their last six contests.
Dave’s Free Canucks Betting Predictions:
Anaheim is 2-1-2 in its last five meetings with Vancouver and has won six of the last 10. But it is clear which team is on a role heading into Friday night’s game. Vancouver will certainly score some goals – the question is whether the Ducks will find some offense along the way. My guess is “No”.
Pick: Vancouver Canucks -107
