Vancouver went 3-3-0 during their six game road trip while the Islanders are 0-1-1 in their current four game Western swing.
There is not a whole to like about the New York Islanders these days – they are already last in the Eastern Conference, they are 0-3-2 on the road, they don’t score all that much and a goaltending carousel lingers on. Only two players on the team have more than 4 goals and not one of the three goaltenders have a winning record.
The Islanders did start the season strong – 3-0-1 in their first four games but since then have gone 1-5-3.
If the Vancouver Canucks proved one thing on Friday night it is that when they want decide to play to their potential, there isn’t a team that can keep up with them. The problem is that far too often this season, the Canucks have suffered lapsed, sometimes long ones!
Friday night was a wake-up call – Expect to see a better Canucks team on Sunday!

Islanders vs. Canucks Betting & Handicapping Preview
Daniel Sedin has seven points in Vancouver’s last three games while brother Henrik Sedin has five. The offense has looked decent – Jannik Hansen looked good on the first line and was deserving of his two goals in Anaheim and David Booth may not be scoring a ton of points but he is making his presence felt on the ice.
Dave’s Free Canucks Betting Predictions:
The oddsmakers don`t like the Islanders at all in this game and I don`t blame them.
There is absolutely no doubt who the better team in this contest is. Vancouver will show up motivated in front of their home town fans for the first time in a couple of weeks and they should roll – should!
Take the better team.
Pick: Vancouver Canucks -200
