The Canucks are Hot and the Predators certainly are not.

Here is why the Predators are struggling. They have scored only five goals in their last four games – 2 or less goals in five straight games. and Pekka Rinne is on a career-worst five-game losing streak.

He has a 3.44 GAA in those games but did look a lot better in Calgary Tuesday night – a 1-0 loss to the Flames.

Nothing is going right for the Preds at the moment – their best offensive players – Patric Hornqvist and Craig Smith have disappeared – Hornqvist hasn’t scored in 10 games, while Smith’s hasn’t scored in his last nine.

The Vancouver Canucks have won five straight game and have been looking sensational in every aspect of the game. Goaltending has led the way.

Corey Schneider has a 0.79 goals-against average with two shutouts during the five-game winning streak, stopping 164 of 168 shots – he is on fire.

Offensively, Vancouver is on fire as well.

Two lines are scorching – the Sedins are averaging a point per game and Alex Burrows has goals in three of the Canucks’ past four games on the first line while the second line has been anchored by Ryan Kesler who has 3 goals and 4 assists during a five-game points streak.

Dave’s Free Canucks Betting Predictions

The Vancouver Canucks have won five straight games and clearly look like the elite team that most expected them to be.

While the Canucks look elite, the Predators have been far, far from it.

The offense will do their thing for Vancouver and Corey Schneider will shut the door.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks -150
