*NHL ATS Matchup Report*

Their opponent on Tuesday – the Columbus Blue Jackets who have shaken a brutal start and have been playing well – they are coming off a 2-1 loss to St. Louis but before that they had picked up points in five straight games (3-0-2).

But the Canucks have won four straight games culminating in an impressive win in San Jose on Saturday night.

Columbus has not been great this season at all – 2.35 goals for per game and 3.13 goals against. But their turnaround lately has coincided with a hot streak by backup goaltender Curtis Samford – sound familiar?

Sanford has gone 3-1-2 with a 1.45 GAA in starting the last six games, yielding two or fewer goals five times.

Rick Nash, Jeff Carter, and James Wisniewski all have five points in their last five games so things are looking up a bit although Nash has scored once in his last nine games against Vancouver.

Vancouver looks to have rounded the corner. An impressive 4-0-0 streak has them finally in the top eight of the Western Conference. This is the time of the year that he Canucks got going last season and the same appears to be ringing true this year.

Offense, defense, goaltending – the Canucks have everything going for them at the moment.

The Canucks have two lines playing very well so it is hard to imagine any team being able to slow the team.

The first line has the Sedins averaging a point per game and also has Alex Burrows who is on fire.

The second line has come alive lately and has made a huge difference for the club. Ryan Kesler`s re-emergence and has made the Canucks a very dangerous team.

He has five points in his current four-game point streak and is looking every bit the forward that scored 42 goals last season.

Goaltending shouldn`t be an issue but it is. Schneider was brilliant on Saturday in a 43 save effort. He has a 0.74 goals-against average with two shutouts in his last four games – crazy numbers. Stick with the kid – he`s earned it!

Dave’s Free Canucks Betting Predictions

The Columbus Blue Jackets are 0-8 in the last eight meetings with the Canucks.

This game should be a case of the men versus the boys but who knows with this Vancouver team?

The Canucks, to a man, know that they need to build a streak – no more excuses.

I think they get it done Tuesday and stretch their winning streak to five games. Look out Western Conference, the Canucks are coming!

Pick: Vancouver Canucks -215
