*NHL ATS Matchup Report*

The Flames enter the game having won three of their last four games while the Canucks have won five of six.

Vancouver is rested after last playing Thursday while the Flames will have has 21 or so hours between games.

Calgary has shaken all of the turmoil, rumors and all-around sketchy play this season and finally has been playing some decent hockey – last night’s 5-3 win in Edmonton is proof. Offense, defense and goaltending can all take credit for the Flames better play as of late.

Offensively, Calgary goes only as far as Jarome Iginla takes them – if he struggles so does the rest of the team.

Before last night, Iginla had seven goals and five assists in 24 games but he broke out last night and recorded three highlight reel assists and the Flames emerged victorious.

Olli Jokinen scored twice in a game for the first time in nearly two years last night as well. Rene Bourque has been good for Calgary lately too – he has two goals and an assist in his last two games.

It had to happen Vancouver fans – the Canucks can’t win every game!

The team dropped a 6-5 decision to Nashville on Thursday night in what was Corey Schneider’s worst game in a long time. His time may be over for a while – expect Roberto Luongo to finally make a start between the pipes on Sunday night.

Canucks vs. Flames

Canucks vs. Flames Gambling Odds & Handicapping Preview

Vancouver will attempt to start another win streak on Sunday night against a team that they have gone 9-0-2 in its last 11 games against.

The Canucks may get Mayson Raymond back in the fold tonight Sunday to add to an offense that is clicking.

The top two lines are flying at the moment – the Sedins and Alex Burrows on the top line and Ryan Kesler (3 goals and 4 assists over his last six games), David Booth and Chris Higgins on the second.

Raymond will likely start on the third line – a huge upgrade for that unit.

Dave’s Free Canucks Betting Predictions

Vancouver has absolutely dominated this series and there is no reason to think that a tired Calgary team will be able to change that. Vancouver got their bad game out of the way Thursday and should be ready to avenge that sloppy loss.

Calgary’s win last night was largely due to the fact that they held the Oilers scoreless and to one shot on six power plays.

That won’t happen against the league’s best power plays. Simply put, Vancouver is the better team and has been getting back to the form that saw them win the President’s Trophy last season.

Calgary is nowhere near that caliber of team.

Take a rested Canucks team over the tired Calgary one as Vancouver flexes a little Northwest Division muscle in this one.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks -230
