Matt Flynn

Five Seahawks signings that would give Ruskell a coronary Part #2

Braylon Edwards

NWSB Insider Reggie Gill brings us a list of futility for current Seattle Seahawks players. Ex-GM Tim Ruskell was known for wanting a squeaky clean team, but Pete Carroll and John Schneider changed the ambience of the locker room. By signing the likes of Terrell Owens, Kellen Winslow, Marshawn Lynch, Golden Tate, Bruce Irvin, J.R. Sweezy, John Moffitt, and Braylon Edwards, its plainly obvious the new regime in Seattle would have given Ruskell a coronary!

Lions vs. Argonauts Week 6 offensive & defensive game balls

BC Lions vs. Toronto Argonauts game balls

Lions game balls. Balls are awarded to the Leo’s offensive MVP Ernest Jackson, and on defense this week Adam Bighill. The only reason Bighill won’t get the D game ball next week is because of the bye.

Terrell Owens working-out possibly signing with the Seahawks

Terrell Owens

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Reggie Gill tells us what is going on during training camp with regards to the Seahawks possibly working out and signing Terrell Owens. Yes TO. Head Coach Pete Carroll seems to be trying to add a veteran Wideout to his group to help teach the younger guys. Does he still have the speed to get behind defenders? Can he still push Cornerbacks aside to get off of press coverage?

The 2012 Seahawks QB competition love ‘em & hate ‘em style…

Russell Wilson Seahawks

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Reggie Gill tells us what is going on during training camp with regards to Matt Flynn, Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson and the Seatle QB competition. He brakes it down Love ‘ em & Hate ‘ em style providing key points to the positive and negative of the race for the job. No matter who wins Flynn, Jackson and Wilson, and even Portis will be better QB’s.

Andrew Harris

Sea-Questions: Are the Seahawks better off with Tarvaris Jackson on the roster?

Tarvaris Jackson

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Reggie Gill tells us what is going on during training camp with regards to Tarvaris Jackson and the Seatle QB competition. He states truth be told, Jackson doesn’t really project as the long term answer for the Hawks, but should he at least be retained for one more year? Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn and Josh Portis will all have something to say about this.

The Seahawks Max Unger is the center of attention

Max Unger

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Reggie Gill tells the Seahawks have extended the contract of starting Center Max Unger this week. This deal come off of the heels of the Seahawks coming to terms on a deal with Defensive End Chris Clemons, and shows that the Seahawks are willing to reward players that they see fitting into their system, and are committed to trying to keep core players along their lines to provide stability.

The Canucks re-signed Dale Weise. Is this a good thing?

Dale Weise

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Reggie Gill weighs in with his ananlysis of the current news of the day. Oft used winger Dale Weise has a new contract for 2012/13 with the Canucks. Re-signing Weise, is putting a guy back in the line-up who has played with the big boys, and knows what will be expected out of him. He’s 6’2″ and 210 pounds, so he fits into that “get bigger” mentality of GM Gillis.

*My* five damn good reasons Chris Clemons signing is a great thing for Seahawks

Chris Clemons

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Reggie Gill tells us why he loves the news this week of the Hawks re-signing DE Chris Clemons. Its a 3-year deal. The 2012 contract has been ripped up. He’ll average $7m a year and run thru 2014. The Seahawks now have a mentor for rookie Bruce Irvin locked up. The timing of this deal also suggests that Seattle may have gotten Clemons on more of their terms.
