The 1992 Rose Bowl win over Michigan 34-14 which the Huskies won the national championship was a special moment in time, but KShell has an even better Washington Huskies bowl game moment to share. The 2010 Holiday bowl had the Huskies vs. the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Jake Locker vs. Taylor Martinez. The Huskies went from 0-12 to Holiday Bowl champs in just two years.
UW Huskies hoops blogger K-Shell tells us the Washington Huskies possible greatest player Brandon Roy is going to be missed by the Washington Huskies and Portland Trail Blazers fans as well as fans of good people. When Roy came to UW it marked a change in culture as he was the first big time recruit to stay home.
On Saturday the Washington Huskies defeated the Washington State Cougars for the third straight season in the Apple Cup. UW Playmakers came up big. You had Chris Polk, Kasen Williams, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Jermaine Kearse, and Jesse Callier with big games to help UW win.
