Welcome back Michael Saunders, great pitching, a triple by Jesus Montero, a slam by Dustin Ackley, and Jason Bay is hitting the ball well. A great week by our Mariners all around.

History shows us that teams get more fan support when they win, but even if defeat, the Seahawks fan base has been much more supportive than the Mariners. I give the ownership’s of these two teams credit for that. The Seahawks ownership is always moving forward, while the Mariners ownership seems content on being a lousy team.

Morse followed fellow outfielder Jason Bay for the second home run on the day for the Mariners. This one was the deciding factor in the much anticipated return of former Mariners Jason Vargas. The Marines won the game, and the series, their first series win of the year.

What a difference. The Mariners scored as many runs in three innings tonight as they did in three games up in Arlington. Felix finally gets to the century mark, and the M’s unleashed the bats for 7 runs.
Seattle Seahawks blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with the 2013 Seattle Seahawks regular season schedule. 4 times the Seahawks will be seen on prime time this year. That’s 4 extra times before the playoffs that we can showcase what we got up here for the rest of the country to see! Seahawks face off against the AFC South, and the NFC South, plus get games against the Vikings at home and the Giants at the Meadowlands. The Quest for the Super Bowl begins in Carolina on September 8th!

We are now on to milestone watch number two for Felix, his 100th win. The strikeout plateau is nice, but this game boils down to wins, and Felix’s next will be number 100. But until then, let us bask in the glory of Felix for a moment, and hope this season bring a lot more wins and strikeouts for the man.

Of course the obvious choices are Jason Bay, and Raul Ibanez. But the Mariners actually want to win games don’t they? Not to mention the rest of the team seems to be afraid of the ball with runners in scoring position.

Jesus Montero, Justin Smoak, Blake Beavan, Raul Ibanez, and Michael Morse are all going to have to step it up this season. Three of the five are fighting for survival in a M’s uniform, and the other two are going to have to prove they are worthy enough to don one once again. These five guys may make or break Jack Z as the GM in Seattle.
Seattle Seahawks blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with the top needs, in his opinion, that the Seahawks need to address in the upcoming NFL Draft. The top needs, says Clinton, are TE, OT, OG, and OLB. He gives us two selections per each position, and where he thinks the Seahawks will select them in the draft. Also, he has a wishful thinking selection, but it is highly unlikely that this player will drop far enough in the draft for the Hawks to actually select him.
