NWSB Exclusive: Catching up with former Seahawks fullback Mack Strong

Where Is Mack Strong When We Need Him?

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp made us all jealous a couple weeks ago when he was able to catch up with former Seahawks All-Pro fullback Mack Strong. The definition of a class act, he answered all Alistair’s questions, and wasn’t TOO obnoxious when he beat me him a throwing contest (the difference between a 16-year NFL pro and a sports writer we suppose). Mack weighs in on Super Bowl XL.

Seattle vs. San Francisco 49ers: The aftermath, what went wrong?

It's pretty bad when the best thing to write about was the game by the punter Jon Ryan.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp tells us to him the following things went wrong for the Hawks on Thursday versus the San Francisco 49ers. Dropped passes have once again hindered the Seahawks offense, and any chances of winning this game. Defense kept it close, but gave up monster yardage to Frank Gore. Special teams didn’t do their part either, especially return specialist Leon Washington.

Touchdown Seahawks! Doug Baldwin catches his first of 2012

Doug Baldwin

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp tells us his favorite Seahawks TOUCHDOWN in week 6 vs. the Patriots was the Doug Baldwin TD catch. As mentioned, Baldwin falls which mistimed the route poorly, but as the ball is delivered by Russell Wilson he does an excellent job of regaining body position and jumps into the air to catch it with his entire body and keeps control while falling to the ground.

Patriots vs. Seahawks Week 6 game balls & stats

Sherman

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp after each week of the regular season and possibly during an NFL playoff game or the Super Bowl will bring you his Seahawks game balls. Balls are awarded to the Hawks offensive MVP Russell Wilson, and on defense this week Richard Sherman. For Special Teams Leon Washington made good use of his limited returns.

Touchdown Seahawks! Golden Tate catches the ‘Hawks only touchdown

Golden Tate

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp tells us the best Seahawks TOUCHDOWN in week 5 vs. the Panthers was the Golden Tate’s 13 yard catch. With a three wide reciever set, Russell Wilson had options, but Golden Tate was once again his man as the Seahawks scored their only TD on Sunday in the win over Carolina.

Seahawks vs. Panthers Week 5 game balls & stats

Jon Ryan

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp after each week of the regular season and possibly during an NFL playoff game or the Super Bowl will bring you his Seahawks game balls. For Special Teams Jon Ryan gets the game ball, plus coach Brian Schneider.

Touchdown Seahawks! Beastmode finishes off a GREAT drive!

So far this season, Marshawn Lynch has been most of the offensive production. Photo Credit: Yahoo Sports

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp tells us the best Seahawks TOUCHDOWN in week 4 vs. the Rams was the Marshawn Lynch’s 18-yard run. They run a play with no tight ends, but Michael Robinson brings in some blocks while Beast Mode does the rest.

Lions vs. Roughriders Week 14 offensive & defensive game balls

Marco Iannuzzi

NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Alistair Corp after each week of the regular season and possibly during the CFL playoffs should the Leo’s be so lucky will stop by and bring you his B.C. Lions game balls. Balls are awarded to the Leo’s offensive MVP Marco Iannuzzi who had a nice game after veterans Geroy Simon and Arland Bruce went down. On Defense Adam Bighill again. No surprise. Solomon Elimimian welcome back. Not.

Seattle vs. St. Louis Rams: The aftermath, what went wrong?

Alan Branch

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp tells us to him the following things went wrong for the Hawks on Sunday versus the St. Louis Rams. Last week: Chris Clemons? 4 sacks. Bruce Irvin? 2 sacks. Brandon Mebane? 2 sacks. Exciting prospect that a legitimate pass rush might join an elite secondary. Not so fast! Jason Jones and Alan Branch were the guys that got to Sam Bradford this week.

Catching up with former Seahawks placekicker Norm Johnson

Norm Johnson

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp visited Century Link field this past weekend. He got to interview two former Hawks. HUGE thank you to Degree Men, Mack Strong, and Norm Johnson for giving him this opportunity! Johnson played 18 seasons in the NFL for the Seahawks (1982-90), Falcons (91-94), Steelers (95-98), and the Eagles (1999). He graduated from UCLA in 1981.
