Weekly Portland Trail Blazers player spotlight – Week 9

Meyers Leonard

NWSB Editor Bryant Knox recaps the previous week’s star player for the Portland Trail Blazers. In Week 9, honors go to Meyers Leonard, as we consider his return to the court over his per-game statistics. In contests against the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat, the center averaged four points and six rebounds, but his biggest achievement was taking minutes away from Thomas Robinson as the backup to LaMarcus Aldridge.

Seahawks MMQB: 2013 NFC West Champions!

It wasn't much easier for the Rams' passing game.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks’ blogger Brett Bivens once again brings you Monday Morning Quarterback! Breaking down yesterday’s win over the St. Louis Rams. Brett says offensively Golden Tate stole the show with his 8 receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. Typically Russell Wilson spreads the ball around pretty evenly but on Sunday Tate accounted for 39% of Wilson’s passing attempts. The D was just HUGE. Earl Thomas & Bobby Wagner were special.

Robinson Cano

Five Canucks Christmas present wishes

Stars vs. Canucks

Once again Vancouver Canucks blogger C-Mac tells us the Canucks already received three pretty great gifts this year. Here is the official 2013 Canucks Christmas Gift List. A lollipop for coach Torts for being such a respectful fella with the media to date. More of the type of deal-with-the-devil contracts that David Booth must have signed in order for him to return to the ranks of productive players.

What’s Wrong with the Seahawks?

Marshawn Lynch

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks Blogger Brian Scott wonders out loud what’s wrong with the Hawks? Despite being 12-3 on the year, doubt has been cast into the minds of some with the recent performances. Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson have stumbled, and the finger must be pointed at the playcalling of offensive coordinator Daryl Bevell.
